Dry Product Spreading

Granular Application

Aerial spreading of suitable fertilizer, granular products and other approved materials across fields, pasture and specific problem areas.

Spreading From The Air Instead Of The Ground

A spreader hopper is fitted in place of the spray system, and suitable dry product is broadcast over the mapped area. Because the aircraft works from above, ground conditions stop mattering as much: soft approaches, standing water, rough pasture and steep slopes are all reachable.

It is not a replacement for a floater on a clean, dry section. It earns its place on the acres a floater or spreader truck shouldn't be on — or on smaller, scattered pieces where hauling equipment around costs more than the product being applied.

Typical Granular Jobs

  • Fertilizer on pasture, hay land and forage stands.
  • Top-up applications on specific low-yielding or thin areas.
  • Product on wet or recently flooded ground that can't carry equipment.
  • Slopes, river breaks and land where a loaded truck is a bad idea.
  • Smaller parcels, home quarters and back fields away from the main block.

Product And Rate Matter

Granule size, density, flowability and the target rate all affect whether a product can be spread accurately by drone, and how wide a swath it will throw. Blends that flow well and are prilled consistently behave predictably; dusty, damp or irregular material does not.

Tell us what product you plan to use and the rate you want, and it can be reviewed before the job is planned.

Getting A Price

Pricing depends on acreage, rate, the material, location and travel, and the conditions of the site. Send the location, approximate acres, product and rate, and you'll get a straight answer on whether aerial spreading fits the job.

Application availability depends on the product, label requirements, site conditions and applicable regulations.
